FIRST stands for For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology. 2. What is FIRST?The FIRST Robotics Competition is an annual event that challenges high school students
Eleven years ago the FIRST Robotics Competition took place with 28 teams in a high school gym in New Hampshire. In 2005, First Robotics largest ever competition will include 800 teams from Canada, Brazil, the U.K. and nearly every state in the U.S. competing in 23 regional events and championship. What are the rules?There can be no cheating; only parts provided by FIRST can be used on the robot; structural components can be fabricated from any materials.
6. When is the competition?The Midwest Regional competition is from March 24-26, 2005 at the University of Illinois, Chicago Pavilion. Back to Top7. What do the participants get from the FIRST program?Participants receive recognition from the FIRST program. They have numerous opportunities to apply for scholarships from supporting companies and universities.Back to Top8. Who are the WHS Purgold Robotics Team 1268?The WHS Purgold Robotics Team 1268 is the first team to represent any school in the Milwaukee Public School System.
