High School has a rich history of successfully preparing students
for the future. A winning combination of caring teachers and
innovative, success-driven programs is nurtured by a school
culture which encourages students to acheive to their maximum
potential. Washington's designation as a Community Learning
Center provides students with several unique after-school, evening
and weekend options to enhance their school experience, making
WHS an around-the-clock educational powerhouse. The
Purgolder Credit Union is the only student-owned and operated
financial institution in the State of Wisconsin and provides
students and staff, financial services.
Washington
is recognized around the world for its students' and teachers'
successful uses of technology, especially computer technology.
WHS hosts Technofest, a district wide technology project fair
that celebrates student creativity. Exceptional education students
have a full continuum of accommodations such as team teaching
and self contained instruction. A Transitional Learning Center
and the Purgold Academy Night School offer alternative learning
enviroments while still being part of the WHS family. Washington's
many state championships in athletics are a testimony to the
school's mission of promoting excellence in all aspects of life.
