Executive
Committee:
The Executive Committee is the
primary governing and communicative body of the Student
Government. Its members are chosen by the elected officers and
Advisors and represent the finest leaders and concerned, committed
individuals in the school. A position on this prestigious committee
is considered to be the highest honor for any student. Executive
committee members are expected to lead various sub-committees of the
organization.

Community
Ambassadors:
The community ambassadors participate
in community service and service learning projects within the school
and greater Milwaukee area. From hosting holiday food drives,
to taking pledges for the channel 10 TV auction, to participating in
neighborhood clean-ups, Community Ambassadors is the branch of the
student government that is dedicated to making the school and
community better through hands-on participation.

Multi-Cultural
Events:
Multi-Cultural Events is the
committee that seeks to utilize Washington's diversity in a positive
way. Through promoting understanding between all people, the
committee's biggest project this year will be organizing the
Multi-Cultural Fair this spring.

Big Buddies:
Academically successful Jumiors and
Seniors mentor freshman, serving as on-site role models and
advisors. These trained students develop trusting relationships
with their advisees through a series of both structured and
unstructured activities. Through these relationships, mentors
encourage their advisees to make the kinds of choices that will help
them become successful students. The Big Buddies are supported
through a grant from the NML
Foundation.

School Spirit:
The "PULSE" of Washington High is
dedicating itself to helping all who are here today appreciate the
true feeling of what it means to be a Washingtonian.

Alpha Society:
This branch of WHS Student Government
was formed in the 1980s as the "honor" branch of the
organization. Membership is limited to those students who are
both serving as school leaders as members of Student Government and
are distinguishing themselves academically. Members of "Alpha" are
Washington High School's "Academic
Ambassadors".
