CONSTRUCTION STATUS

New Update: February 16, 2010:

We are on the verge of completing the final pieces of our robot. The top covers need to be completed and returned to the robot. Then, it's a matter of programming and test driving until our shipping deadline in one week.

As of January 30, 2010:

• Controller: The controller is wired. We are preparing mounts for the cRIO, Jaguar, and other controller equipment
• Transmission: COMPLETE and on the robot
• Chassis: The frame, wheels, and chains have been fixed to fit FIRST specifications. We are now mounting a cover for our robot to prevent soccer balls from being caught on the top of the robot. We are also preparing space to mount our remaining equipment
• Wedge Kicker: The kicker is taking shape and is nearly ready for testing
• Pneumatics: We are testing different cylinders to ensure our kicker has enough force for passing and shooting.
• Camera: The camera is assembled. We are working on setting up the IP address and getting it to communicate with our driver station.
• Bumpers: The back bumpers and front bumper sections have been cut. We are getting ready to mount these sections onto the robot.
